STALKER SAYS MINNIE IS A WITCH
TV personality and model Minnie Dlamini has been accused of witchcraft by an unknown stalker.
The SoccerZone presenter has been receiving threats from an unknown cellphone number telling her that she was using a strong sangoma to cast spells on the unknown stalker, believed to be a woman.
Dlamini was advised by her management agency to slam the brakes on the bullying and report the matter to the police.
Miss Dlamini has been the target of bullies for the better part of the year. Some of these have been on social media, blogs and most recently the attacks are in her personal space. These incidences have been relentless and hideous. It is for this reason that she has reported all these incidents and opened a case at Douglasdale police station,” her agents said in a statement.
“She … is tired of bullies assuming that because someone is nice he or she is weak. In this way she is standing up against bullying of any nature. These incidents have now become a legal matter as the police will follow their legal process.”
Douglasdale police confirmed that a complaint was laid by Dlamini and said an investigating officer had been assigned to the case.
The SMS Dlamini received is in isiZulu. It reads in part: Cha sisi Ukhona bo nalenyanga yakho ingabe inyanga songingaze ngingalali ebusku ngiklinywa izilwane kodwa nawe khona okuzokwethusa kungekudala.”
The sender accuses Dlamini of using a sangoma to cast a spell on her so that she had terrible nightmares and promised that Dlamini would experience worse soon.
A Sunday World investigation could not verify the cellphone number s owner as the SIM card was not registered as required by the Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-Related Information Act, or Rica.
Dlamini posted the SMS on her Twitter profile and said the stalker was being haunted by her own demons.
This incident is the latest in a tumultuous year for Dlamini. She was assaulted at a top nightclub on her birthday and had a public catfight with an SABC staffer over her on-off boyfriend, Kaizer Chiefs keeper Itumeleng Khune.
