WIFE DUMPS PETROL PASTOR

- NGWAKO MALATJI and BUCHULE RABA news@sundayworld.co.za

PETROL pastor Daniel Mosuoe’s marriage is finally over.

Sunday World can exclusively reveal that the Rabboni Centre Ministries pastor, who infamously made his congregants eat grass and drink petrol as part of his faith healing, is now separated from his wife Gretta Mosuoe.

Mosuoe s wife had since vacated their matrimonial home in GaRankuwa, in north-western Tshwane, and is now bunkering with her parents in Dainfern, Joburg.

Two independent sources confirmed that Gretta had moved out of the house she shared with the pastor and was now living in her parental home.

When a couple sleeps in two different rooms, you must know it’s over, said one source.

The other source said the last straw that broke the camel’s back was when Sunday World published a story that Mosuoe, commonly known as Pastor Lesego Daniel, had not been sleeping with his wife.

He suspected that his wife and her parents were the ones who leaked the story to the media,” said the second source.

News that the two have drifted apart came to the fore after Mosoue was arrested for violating a court order for the custody of their two children.

The order, which was seen by Sunday World, was granted by the GaRankuwa Regional Court on November 5 last year, gives the controversial man of the cloth full custody of the kids.

His wife had applied to the court for the full custody of the children.

Pending the report of the family advocate, both parties shall retain their full parental rights and responsibilities towards their minor children and the residency of the minor children shall remain with the respondent.

That the applicant has unfettered contact with the minor children from Monday to Friday and that she has contact rights with the minor children during alternate weekends and/or every alternate short and long school holiday.

But Mosoue allegedly prevented his wife from having contact with the children and was arrested for contempt of court on December 18. He was released on bail the same day.

He appeared at the GaRankuwa Magistrate s Court on Wednesday and the case was postponed to March 12.

Mosoue declined to comment and referred our enquiries to his lawyer Thengu Fakude.

In his first written response earlier last month, Fakude said: You were further informed that it was unfortunate that the person hurt in the process was our client.

He was being harassed, belittled, wrongfully and unlawfully arrested and detained.

There has been some abuse of power by people who are in authority and use the same for either an ulterior motive and/or acting ultra vires.

It is evident from your saying of the case number that if there was indeed any contempt of any court order, then the procedure to institute same was not properly followed.

When asked to comment this week on the latest developments around the Mosuoe couple, Fakude instead asked this newspaper a number of questions in return.

Mosuoe s wife, speaking through her mother Agnes Malebane, said: The matter is currently in the hands of our justice system therefore we cannot comment on it.”

GaRankuwa police spokesman Matthews Koadi confirmed a case of contempt of court was opened against the pastor.

He handed himself to the police the following day (December 18) and he appeared in court the same day, said Koadi.
