Xeno commission useless
A COMMISSION of inquiry on xenophobia? Another pyramid scheme for my comrade and legal eagle mate Comfort Ngidi.
In the legal fraternity, beneficiaries of the current regime are Ngidi, Kemp J Kemp, Michael Hulley, Sticks Mdladla and Barnabas Xulu.
Hulley has migrated from Durban city centre offices to affluent Umhlanga area.
The Commission on xenophobia is a waste of money, like the e-toll commission in Gauteng which yielded nothing. Will the commission probe how Manuel Josias used a South African Zulu surname Emmanuel Sithole?
Will it probe the extent of monopolising government advertisements?
Will it investigate how prominent people such as Sheryl Cwele, Jackie Selebi and police officers end up in the pockets of foreign drug dealers?
All the foreigners with shops in the townships thrive because they buy and import cheap staff and some subsidise these shops with money from drugs.
Graça Machel, who brought brightness, warmth, happiness and smile to Nelson Mandela, has to urge Mozambicans to stop paying bribes to migration and Home Affairs officers.
Will this commission look at how labour broking allows business to use cheap labour?
Foreigners are human beings and animalistic behaviour towards them is a criminal offence. Will this commission probe how Eastern European foreigners get jobs more easily in private sector than us natives
Therefore, this commission must not deal with foreigners from Africa only. Why is it easier for a Pakistani to get a space to work in while an African cannot rent a space? South Africans must come first.
The commission must also research how many whites trekked to the South from Namibia and Zimbabwe after independence.
We know the causes of xenophobia and there is no need for a commission.
Take that money to beef up capacity of the Public Protector Thuli Madonsela s office.
