SHWA was very happy to be invited to the Metro FM Music Awards nominee announcement party held at the The Forum, Bryanston on Thursday. It was Shwa’s first Thirstday of the year.
It was awesome seeing that so many celebrities come out to the nominee party after the hectic festive season.
Cashtime female member Nomuzi Mabena (Skhanda Queen) we saw you there but girl that dress was too short. The last time I checked the dress code was legendary” unless you wanna be remembered as skanky.
Shwa noticed that you came in walking hand-in-hand with Carol Tshabalala’s ex-Ben 10, Sbu Motloung. Let’s hope he doesn’t cheat on you too.
Then there was Zahara. Shwa didn’t like that dress, girl. I mean we all know that it wasn’t Burberry, it’s like you got it last minute down town Jozi because I know there are a lot of fake Burberry clothes there. Can the fashion police intervene on this one, clearly this lady of song has lost her dress sense.
Were you not dressed by Nhlanhla Nciza’s NN Vintage ... what happened? On a positive note, that hair suits you darling, a far cry from that big scruffy hairdo of yours. I wonder how you survived the heat wave in that.
Robbie Malinga was there, wearing shades as usual and he was his bubbly self, mingling with everyone he comes across. Maybe he thinks he’s Ray Charles ... hehehehe!
Shwa spotted Melanie Bala though she was really trying to keep away from the media. I didn’t like her outfit, though. It looked like she came straight from picking up the kids from school. Motherhood doesn’t mean you have to lose you fabulous self, darling.
Cassper Nyovest came in with all his boys but surprisingly his biggest accessory, Boity, wasn t next to him this time. Are the break-up rumours true?
Right… Cassper can you shed some light on why you and Chad Da Don are not on speaking terms again? I mean Shwa noticed that you didn’t want to be seen next to him the whole night, not even to greet him nje…
Shame Kwela Tebza was there as well even after that Christmas event of theirs that failed. They were all smiles the whole night, but guys did you honestly think one person would pay R4 000 entrance to an event? Really? Not in South Africa shem… we d rather spend R150 for entrance cos you know we like our drinks.
Arthur Mafokate made a King of Kwaito entrance indeed, rocking up fashionably late with three very hot girls, everyone in the hall even lost focus on what Phat Joe was saying at the time. Where’s Chomee vele?
Someone that Shwa hasn’t seen in such a long time graced us with his presence DJ Cleo was there guys!
He has all grown up shem. He walked in with Lection and they were together the whole night, very much reserved now!
It was good to see that the celebs that went on baecation a few weeks ago came back safe and sound, Tall-A$$ Mo and wife Mome were there, as was Pearl Modiadie but she wasn’t with her new best friend, fiance Nkululeko.
singer Shekinah was there too but I didn’t like the outfit, girl. It looks like you took your granny’s old blouse and wore it with stockings. Shwa is available to assist you on what to wear to such events, love. Don’t be afraid.
Ambitious Entertainment artists are doing so well, Fifi Cooper and Emtee really did bring the house down with their performance. Shwa didn’t even want to leave. Congrats on your nominations, guys!

he is OK nje at gala dinners.
He was so camera shy and tried by all means to sty out of sight. What a humble guy. Shwa likes that and refuses to listen to those who say you are a shady character.
Kelly looked very hot alongside her sister, Zandi. I love the bond between them. They go everywhere together and even beat up people’s wives together! They really are inseparable.

Nathi scooped so many nominations and still remains very calm and humble. We hope you stay that way even in years to come! Your performance was awesome too.
Bonang and AKA were not there! And both their Instagram posts suggest they are on an island somewhere in Moz. Someone enlighten us please!
Just a few days ago AKA posted a picture of 50 roses but Zinhle said nothing was going on between them! He buys baby mama roses then takes Queen B to an island, he surely does have money, even though he fails to pay designers for suits. Or is it Bonang who is the one paying?
Reason had too many drinks before the event. He spilled champagne on his white pants before the event started and, to add salt to injury, he didn’t score a nomination.
Maybe if you bragged less and worked more you would be noted. It was nice seeing Professor as well, though after the announcements he struggled to stand up straight at the bar. Free drinks will kill you! It’s way too early in the year to be a glutton, Ntokozo Mbambo and husband looked so in love… wait I think they were the only gospel artists who attended!
Doctor Malinga was dressed proper this time around, no colour-blocking suits and shorts. He rocked a proper black suit and was so chilled, or rather he stayed quiet. Was it because he didn’t get one nomination? Shem!
Donald looked hot in a charcoal suit, shame he does know how to dress indeed. But his hair needs a comb from time to time. Pearl Thusi looked hot in that black dress. I wonder why she didn’t come in with boyfriend, Robert Marawa. Shwa needs pics, guys.
It was a wonderful night and Shwa will patiently be waiting for the invite for the awards.
