THE career of top actor Ronnie Nyakale s wife is in troubled waters
’ after her appointment at water utility Rand Water is under investigation. Lebogang Mashilo s appointment as
’ quantity management officer was allegedly irregular and a human resources manager has been fingered for her employment.
Senior HR manager in the scientific services divisions at South Africa s
’ biggest water utility Felleng Magongoa is also in hot water for her alleged actions.
Sunday World has established that Magongoa was previously employed by the Department of Transport s Cross
’ Border Road Transport Agency (CBRTA) where she resigned and left while facing internal disciplinary action.
Nyakale, popularly known as Cosmo on and Papa Action in the first season of said he was saddened that his wife s
’ work matter is exposed to the public because of his line of work. I m a very private person. Now my “’ wife will be in shame because I m well
’ known. Also, my name will be dragged down for things that have nothing to do with me,” he said.
Magongoa could not be reached for comment as she did not answer her phone nor respond to questions sent to her through SMS and e-mail.
Mashilo could not be reached for comment either.
Rand Water spokesman Justice Mohale confirmed that the company was investigating Mashilo s
’ appointment.
Mohale said Mashilo was appointed last year but they received information earlier this year about alleged irregularities in her appointment. She was employed on the 8th of June “2015. The investigation started on the 8th of February 2016 on receipt of the allegations. A number of transgressions have “been identified in terms of Rand Water s disciplinary code. However,
’ details cannot be revealed as the investigation is still ongoing,” he said.
Mohale said that Magongoa was still with the water utility. She was not
“suspended. Charges have been preferred and we are awaiting a sitdown date from the CCMA.”
Mohale said Rand Water was not aware of Magongoa s employment
’ history when they hired her.
