JOB APPOINTMENTS

THABO Khumalo joined the Palazzo hotel team as restaurant manager for Medeo, a finedining restaurant featuring Mediterraneaninspired cuisine, having worked in top restaurants around the country over the past 13 years.

Khumalo started at the Famous Butcher s

’ Grill in Sun City as a chef in 2003 before moving across to restaurant management.

He has worked at Southern Sun Bloemfontein, Sun City and The Cullinan Hotel, and then as food and beverage manager at Garden Court Eastgate.

Khumalo opened Tasha s in Nelson

’ Mandela Square in 2015 before re-joining Tsogo Sun at the Palazzo in August this year.

Bernie Hilario has been appointed as the new general manager of SunSquare Montecasino.

Bernie has moved across from Garden Court Hatfield where she was also the general manager.

Prior to that Bernie was deputy general manager at Southern Sun Hyde Park. from when the hotel opened.

Julian Joubert has been appointed as the new rooms division manager.

Madeleine Roux has been appointed as the general manager for Garden Court Hatfield.
