Cheers to all the Champagne lovers

Before Shwa celebrated World Champagne Day on Friday, the night before I rocked the Veuve Clicquot Elle Boss Awards. It felt like Shwa was in the Champagne wine region of France with the intimate dinner setup elegantly transformed to look like that.

Such a glamorous affair. Cheers!

Womandla

Shwa was in the company of powerful and great women. I had to pinch myself at one stage – from Carol Bouwer to Khanyi Dhlomo and Iman Rappetti. Such ageless beauties in all senses – body, mind and energy.

People given what they want

There were just positive vibes in the room all night with Nomzamo Mbatha as host. She was wearing the most stunning power suit, with a peekaboo cleavage to die for. Yaaas gal, give the people what they want.

And mama said stick together

The sisterhood bond between Anele Mdoda and Tumi Morake at the launch of Tumi’s new book And Then Mama Said was just endearing. Anele must just go into comedy because her comic timing is on point. Tumi’s actor husband Mpho OseiTutu and family looked super proud of her.

Rami sure fits lively mom role

Shwa’s fave socialite

Rami Chuene was a relaxed African goddess in an electric print as she supported her good friend Tumi Morake. Since the book was inspired by Tumi’s feisty mother, she said if it were to be turned into a film Rami should be cast as her mother. Shwa totes agrees!

What was that mess, Dineo?

Don’t know what happened to Dineo Moeketsi on the night, but she was looking like a drag queen. Take it down a notch sis. Too much hair, overdone make-up and what’s up with that lace that looked like it was made for grandma’s curtains? Is it called Boksburg couture honey?

Stick to one trend, boo

When bad fashion happens to good people.

I’m talking about you Tumi Voster. It’s time for a style intervention boo. Pick a trend and stick to it. Either you are going to travel back to the 80s disco era with those shoulder pads or just stick to the hideous print that looked busier than the bathroom at Maponya Mall.

Joke is on you, Rasdien

Shwa needs to stop perving over married men, but Ndumiso Lindi is a goddamn fine brother. Since we can no longer claim Trevor Noah, it’s great to see a comedian looking after himself.

Please give some style tips to your fellow comedian Joey Rasdien. Just because you were a teenager once doesn’t mean you should dress like one all your life, Joey.
