Do the right thing, pay for services

-

To all the black cricket and black rugby players speaking out against racism and discrimination in their respective sporting codes, you are charmzas.

For many years since readmission to the international sporting fold, black officials, administrators, CEOS and presidents have turned a blind to the injustices inflicted on their own. It’s about time they are exposed.

Proteas cricketer Lungi Ngidi has been leading the crusade to right the wrongs not only in cricket, but in other sports like rugby, as part of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Lungi and Co, you are all charmzas.

I’d like to remind our people in townships to start paying for municipality services, especially water and electricity.

The burning of tyres doesn’t scare Eskom anymore. They will not come to force you to buy electricity. You can bypass as much as you can. You can say, “the whole township is not buying electricity so why should I?” But Eskom and water services agencies are not deterred.

However, the day your transformer blows, will be the day that you will see the colour of Eskom.

Local people will promise to sell you a new transformer. The question is where did they ever install one? How will they register it and where will they get it because you can’t buy it at China Mall?

Some residents are without electricity for months and years.

Do the right thing, pay for services and approach Eskom and make an arrangement to pay debt. We are victims.
