Happy days as SA economy moves towards recovery
Financial services giant FNB this week said it expects South Africa’s economy to recover to pre-pandemic levels by 2023.
The lender also expects economic growth to hit 4.1% in 2021 and 2.2% in 2022.
Thanda Sithole, FNB’S economist, says although the bank’s forecast of economic growth rebound of 4.1% this year comes off a pandemic-induced low base in 2020, the production sectors of the economy should propel growth.
