Man United take aim at Hammers

-

Manchester United face West Ham United at the London Stadium today, in the first of two meetings with the Hammers in a little over three days.

David Moyes’ men are Manchester United’s Carabao Cup third-round opponents at Old Trafford on Wednesday, but a trip down to the capital is next on the cards. And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will be keen to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of a last-gasp defeat to Young Boys in Europe in midweek.

Although Marcus Rashford, Amad and Alex Telles are expected to still be missing, Dean Henderson and Phil Jones are edging closer to a return, while Scott Mctominay was recently pictured training as he recovers from groin surgery.

Edinson Cavani hasn’t featured recently due to an issue picked up at Carrington. West Ham will be without the Premier League Player of the Month for August, Michail Antonio. He was sent off after two bookings in Saturday’s goalless draw with Southampton.

Today’s fixtures: Brighton v Leicester (3pm); West Ham v Man United (3pm); Tottenham v Chelsea (5.30pm).– manutd.com
