Oceana claims report finds nothing fishy
Oceana, which owns canned fish brand Lucky Star, has moved to assure the markets that it is business as usual amidst allegations of wrongdoing by the company’s senior executives.
The company said an Ensafrica Forensics independent forensic investigation is expected to be completed on Friday and based on the preliminary feedback received “no current or former employees and/or directors are likely to be implicated in any matters resulting in financial loss to the company and furthermore that none of the matters considered as part of the Ensafrica Forensics investigation is likely to result in a financial loss to the company.”
Oceana’s CFO Hajra Karrim was suspended earlier this month, and a week later, the company’s CEO Imraan Soomra resigned.
