Harties event a well-behaved affair
Friends Of Amstel roared back to life last week after a lull over the past two years due to its nemesis: Covid-19. Talking of Covid-19, are we heading towards a fifth wave?
I certainly hope not – seeing the suffering that visited celebville over the past two years was too much to bear. We can’t go back there, so let’s behave, Mzansi.
Going back to the Amstel event, Shwa has never seen so many well-dressed and well-mannered people like the bunch that congregated in Hartbeespoort.
Shwa had the honour to be invited. It was such a well-organised event, although yours in gossip was initially worried about the “secret venue”, which was Harties, and that she would be drinking Amstel the entire day. Surprisingly, the gossip girl was catered for.
The crew members were on their feet, making sure that everyone had food and something to drink; everything was on the house. Shwa hopes no one drank until they could not walk anymore.
Mthande hitmaker Musa The Voice has so much humour or was it alcohol-inspired? Otherwise, you are such a free soul.
The likes of Rosemary Zimu, Vuyo Ngcukana, Nozi Langa and the Tiktok star, Primo, looked welldressed for the event. Langa couldn’t stop flaunting her ring. Shwa would like to say congratulations once again.
Vuyo, are you still beefing with Phil Mphela for saying you are jobless?
Boohle gave such a stellar performance, she left everyone in awe.
Has Mr Jazziq lost his touch? Literally no one paid attention to him when he was on the decks. People were either busy chatting to each other or getting their Amstel refills.
There is something about Bergville men. I mean, they got everyone’s attention the minute they got on stage.
Sjava, as usual, whisked everyone away with his performance and Big Zulu also came rocking his Brentwood and Carvela signature look. And let’s be honest, Big Zulu is more suited to a Amstel event than a Hennessy event, for example.
Still on Big Zulu, are you that tall or is Kabza De Small seriously short? Because that picture you guys took looks a bit weird. It gives Ray Mysterio and Big Show vibes.
Kamo Mphela, you are the queen of dance, but your outfit was rather too revealing. Maybe you should have dressed similar to your dance crew.
Shwa spotted two old men who really seemed misplaced. Were you there by mistake or did you drive Big Zulu to the event? I hope they were not preying on young girls.
Lamiez, we get it you are a big deal now, but a picture with your fans who humbly asked wasn’t going to hurt you.
