Sabelinah Tshoane, PHD candidate and New Generation of Academics Programme (NGAP) lecturer at the Department of Safety and Security, Faculty of Humanities
“I consider it a great honour to have been given the chance to be part of the NGAP programme. The programme has allowed me to further my PHD studies, and I am grateful that the University continues to invest in female academics.”
“I registered the thesis “Exploration of the Gaps in the Enactment and Implementation of the Domestic Violence Act in South Africa: Where hou the Right of Men?” as my PHD thesis at the beginning of 2020.
“With the help of NGAP, I was able to collect data in Kwazulu-natal, Limpopo and Gauteng, while the programme also paid all statisticians for the mixed technique the thesis used.”
