The only consistency about life is inconsistency, therefore don’t let the very low parts take away your happiness. Enjoy every moment and allow yourself to feel deeply the essence of gratitude and happiness

Nonhlanhla Seoe, 33, of Pretoria, has achieved a lot in her young life. At 23, she held the position of marketing manager, handling big accounts, doing her work with diligence and confidence, and earning the respect of her bosses and peers while her contemporaries were still trying to find themselves.

“I had to speak for myself as I soon discovered I was always the youngest in the room,” she says.

But success would come quickly and in abundance. At 33, she was appointed as the deputy director at Business Tourism at the City of Tshwane. She also held the fort as acting director in the absence of the director.

This is not all. Academically she is solid, with a string of qualifications. She earned a B.tech degree and National Diploma in tourism, among other qualifications. She is studying towards a Master of Commerce degree with the University of South Africa, with a focus on stokvels as agents of investment in the tourism industry.

“I am happy the way things have gone. Tourism is my area of great interest. I am the inaugural recipient of the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry bursary. I hope to do well in tourism,” she says.
