Being a leader is what Mautsoa was born to be. Within years of his appointment in the teaching profession, he was elected at a young age as Abet centre manager. Mautsoa, who is a goal-oriented person “thrived against all odds”, he says. Pontsheng Primary School has been a top performing school in the Motheo district for the past three years under his leadership. He intends to raise the bar even higher. He was elected in the mentor/mentee programme where he mentored principals from under-performing primary schools.
