Police hot on the heels of fraudster

Sunday World - - News - MOSA MOKHEMA

FORMER Generations actor Melusi Yeni refuses to cough up for his alleged child.

Claiming to be Yeni’s baby mama, Palesa Yvodia Molemela filed for maintenance, demanding that he pay her about R23 000 for birth expenses and other related prenatal expenses, gynaecologist and paediatrician, and R10 500 for hospital [stay] as well as R5 000 a month from January 31”.

But Yeni (35) has hired top lawyer advocate Barnabas Xulu, who recently represented Western Cape Judge President John Hlophe.

Xulu says they had asked that a paternity test be done before Yeni can commit to the child’s financial support.

Sunday World saw Molemela’s maintenance order application, filed at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court, in which she demands about R40 000 from the actor.

In her affidavit, Molemela (28) says she gave birth to the child in November and that the defendant is the biological father”.

Molemela says she is currently unemployed, but shall resume shortly as a personal trainer”.

Her application includes entertainment, holidays and pocket money for about R4 000 a month.

Yeni questioned the paternity claims and last month the court gave him permission to undergo tests. My client is going to undergo paternity tests on March 3. We are not going to answer any questions before those tests,” says Xulu.

Yeni and Molemela live in separate houses at the Jackal Creek Golf Estate in Honeydew. Xulu will not comment on their relationship.

Molemela refuses to comment and Yeni refers all questions to his lawyer.
