EFF’s violent behaviour must be condemned

Sunday World - - Viewpoint - Macdonald Mageza

I condemn the EFF’s unjustifiable attack on people who choose to appear before the Zondo Inquiry into state capture as well as the party’s attack on media group Tiso Blackstar for hosting the hearings.

If the EFF has any evidence about corruption, they are free to take their place at the commission, rather than to picket outside the venue.

The Tiso Blackstar Group has hosted many events and conferences in its building, thus attacking the media group is unfair.

The decision of the commission to host the inquiry in this secured building was tested when EFF members tried to forcefully gain entry into the premises.

The EFF cannot justify the violent behaviour of its members.

Other than those attending the inquiry, the safety of Tiso Blackstar workers has to be guaranteed as well.
