Shooting honours

BOKNES resident Mike de Nysschen won gold, silver and bronze medals in the recent Eastern Cape Open Pistol Shooting Championships in East London.

He achieved the following results: rapid fire pistol in the gold class – third place (bronze); air pistol in the gold class – third place (bronze); centre fire in the gold class – second place (silver); sport pistol in the gold class – second place (silver); standard pistol in the gold class – second place (silver); free pistol (50 metres) in the gold class – second place (silver); 50 yards in the gold class – first place (gold).

De Nysschen, who turns 65 this month, will participate at the national championships in Pretoria at the end of April.
