LAST Friday May 4, at about 11.30am, a domestic worker at William Cock Road noticed a burglar bar in a spare room had been broken off, but there were no further incidents and the premises were in order when MultiSecur­ity response officers attended.

An intruder was reported on the premises at 5 Hewson Lane at 1.30pm on Friday. The man, who was described as wearing a black hoodie, black pants and red shirt, was gone when response officers attended.

Three suspicious people were spotted running down Hards Street in the early hours of Saturday morning by a Stenden security guard, but no further incidents occurred.

On Seabreeze Drive, a member of the Umdoni Downs Crime Watch Group reported barking dogs in the area at 4.30am, but nothing suspicious transpired further.

However, at Flame Lilly Complex, at 5.30am on Saturday, there was a break-in in one of the units. The fence wire had been cut near the guardhouse, and the burglars stole two cell phones, a laptop and cash. They complex’s camera footage was requested.

The rest of the day was quiet, but late on Saturday night there was a panic signal from a shop in Nemato.

At 3.45am on Sunday May 6, there was an attempted break-in and a panic signal from Sylhet Mini Market on Ten Street. The three suspects ran off when the shopkeeper pressed his panic button. The shopkeeper thought he knew the suspects, but did not press charges.

There were no further incidents except barking dogs on Freshwater Road, and it was all quiet on Sunday.
