the re­gion. Also to pla­cate the many, many “lo­cals” who keep ask­ing for some­one to run a train again: our an­swer is, sorry, we ran out of funds, time and strength. Mostly fund­ing. As a busi­ness it was a dead loss.

At that stage, the rail­way lines were work­able in some por­tions, and al­though we could only travel as far as Bathurst, for the many hun­dreds of pas­sen­gers we car­ried, the mere up­keep of the en­gine, and car­riages (which we had con­verted out of old busses) the busi­ness “leaked” money.

We, the crew and share­hold­ers, of the train com­pany, will never for­get the good times. The bad, we have blocked out of our mem­o­ries, and for those that sup­ported us, we will never for­get you.
