End-of-term suc­cess for PAHS in sport

The re­sults from the re­cent Al­bany ten­nis tri­als saw Port Al­fred High School’s pupils do well, with Jack Botha (2nd) and Jar­ryd Harty (3rd) se­cur­ing top spots in the U16 boys’ cat­e­gory.

Lou Coet­zee (2nd) and James Camp­bell (5th) also achieved good re­sults, as did Lise-Mari Coet­zee who se­cured the num­ber 2 spot in the U16 girls’ cat­e­gory.

Liyabona Xanti (5th) and Kate Heny (6th) did well in the U14 girls’ age group and Lily Heny fea­tured 5th in the U12 girls’ rank­ings.

The U13 PAHS girls’ team played against their Kingswood coun­ter­parts dur­ing the week and won by 15 games (43-28), as did the U11 girls who won by 22 games (46-24). CRICKET

Port Al­fred High School par­tic­i­pated in a re­cent mini cricket fes­ti­val hosted by St An­drew’s Prep, win­ning both their matches. The PAHS team won their match against Gra­ham­stown Pri­mary by 20 runs. The win­ning mar­gin was greater in their match against Yel­low­woods School from Fort Beau­fort with Yel­low­woods scor­ing just nine runs to Port Al­fred’s
