Palms Videos caters for all entertainment and business needs
Palms Video is a reputable home entertainment and internet café business operating in one of the busiest streets in Port Alfred.
In home entertainment it offers all the latest movies, TV series and video games for rent, as well as an impressive library of older movies.
The shop has about 17,000 movies and series in stock, and it gets new movies every Monday.
It also rents out a number of devices. The internet café is a hub for online activity, equipped with both desktop and Wi-Fi access.
The business, which is 13 years old, has a new owner, Niel Havenga, who has big plans for the business going forward.
He mentioned some of the plans he has for the business with regard to expanding the services the business currently offers.
“We are in an entertainment industry, so our plans are to expand the entertainment side of the business. We plan on opening up a gamer’s lounge which will cater for young and old.
“The gamer’s lounge is going to be opened at the back of the shop and clients are invited to come and enjoy virtual reality experiences, from shark cage diving to a walk through the wild Serengeti of Africa,” said Havenga.
There will be comfortable couches and a café to purchase light meals.
Palms also has many specials this December to suit everyone’s needs, with a big discount on its game and movie rentals, so pop in at the shop to find out what the specials are.
It is also currently selling new PS4 game releases as well as pre-played games.
Within the shop it also has a coffee shop where you can enjoy coffee and other drinks for your leisure time, perhaps catching up on a newspaper or reading your favourite book. It is a great and peaceful environment to enjoy your lunch hour in.
“We have many services to offer our customers such as an internet cafe, printing, faxing, e-mailing, courier service and we have four PCs that will help you surf the net.” said Havenga.
