of life. There has been so much de­bris picked up around there over the past 50 or so years, it is hardly vis­i­ble – the lo­cal farm­ers and fish­er­men found suit­able use for this trea­sure.

This was never frowned upon, as the rel­e­vant laws were not in force and when done, it is ex­tremely dif­fi­cult to po­lice. It has been very amus­ing over the years to see fish­er­men’s shacks, with roofs made from ship­wreck de­bris.
