Big en­ter­tain­ment at the Lit­tle Theatre

As the only ded­i­cated theatre in Port Al­fred, the Lit­tle Theatre on the Wharf will be host­ing some stel­lar acts this fes­tive sea­son.

With Christ­mas done and dusted, why not get to the Lit­tle Theatre on Thurs­day De­cem­ber 27 for a fun night with The Stone Jets.

Hail­ing from Cape Town, the Stone Jets com­prises Man­fred Klose on gui­tars, Ed­uan Jou­bert on drums and Given Nkanyane on vo­cals and bass. The band cre­ates toe-tap­ping mu­sic wrapped in soul and tra­di­tional el­e­ments.

Formed in 2013, songs from the trio’s first two EPs have been fea­tured on na­tional tele­vi­sion and play-listed on com­mer­cial, cam­pus and com­mu­nity ra­dio sta­tions across the coun­try.

They’ve played all South Africa’s ma­jor fes­ti­vals and con­tinue to grow their fan-base wher­ever they share their sound.

The show is from 6pm to 8pm and tick­ets cost R120.

Then, on Satur­day De­cem­ber 29 Shan­non Hop­kins, a lo­cal lad and son of Lit­tle Theatre im­pre­sario Louise Hop­kins, will present

Hop­kins de­scribed it as “a time-lined chron­i­cle of my jour­ney on stage and mu­si­cal theatre from school days to am­a­teur theatre to the grand stage, fea­tur­ing my favourite per­for­mances from and trib­ute stage per­for­mances of Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Chris de Burgh and Queen.”

The show starts at 7pm and tick­ets cost R100.
