All hooked up for Christmas Deep Sea Classic competition
he Port Alfred River and Ski-boat Club (PARSC) is hosting its annual Christmas Deep Sea Classic from December 27 to 29.
As always, the competition is based on the safest two days to fish of the three.
Prizes will be awarded for top boat, top male angler, top female angler and top junior.

Tbe awarded for the heaviest of the species for the following fish: kob, soldier, dageraad, carpenter, red roman.
No fish smaller than a minimum of 1kg must be brought to the weigh-in.
“Please ensure you have a valid fishing permit with you,” Mark Denson of the PARSC committee said.
Registration will take place from 5.30pm to 7pm on December 26.
There is a compulsory briefing for skippers only after the conclusion of the registration.
The entrance fee is R150 per angler and must be paid prior to the conclusion of registration. Payment will be received at the bar in the club.
A braai pack will be included in the entrance fee and will be handed out to the participating anglers prior to the prize giving.
A copy of the rules and regulations and entry form will be available for collection, behind the bar, at the PARSC.

All skippers must report to the Shore Control (Wayne) on Channel 68 when launching. Launch time is 5am daily.
All boats must be back in the harbour by no later than 12 noon of each day.
Denson said no special conditions exist for bill fish – the above times apply.
The weigh-in will commence no earlier than three hours into the competition.
Fires will be lit on both days at 12 noon, braai packs will be available to purchase at R50 and all visitors, members, family and friends are welcome.
The prize-giving will commence at 2pm on the second day of the competition following a braai.
Live entertainment by Gary Botha will commence from 4pm onwards.
