Q Tell us about your occupation.
A
I am a ceramic artist and I am working as a full time ceramist.
Q: What is the most satisfying aspect of the work you do?
A: I get satisfied with seeing young people getting a rare chance to be skilled in the field of ceramics and going on to open their own businesses in the ceramic field.
Q: What is the one tourist aspect you would recommend to a visitor to the Sunshine
Coast?
A: Our game reserves, our hiking trails, all our art galleries and crafts, river cruises in Port Alfred and Bushman’s River in Kenton.
Q: If you have a bucket list, what is the top item you would like to do?
A: Build an arts and crafts teaching institution in Ndlambe, mainly ceramic skills development.
Q: What is your motto in life?
A: If I can help, even if it is one South African child, to cut loose from the generational poverty cursed by the lack of skills I'd be happy.
Q: What keeps you motivated?
A: Knowing that I am useful to someone.
Q: With the high unemployment rate in our country, what do you think could be done to address the situation?
A: Educate better and upskill everybody so that everyone is able to make a difference in the lives of their families.
Q: Do you think enough is being done to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet? If not, what do you think could be done to change it?
A: Eradicate all carbon producing technologies and maximise wind power technology. Also, use the sea for hydropower generation technologies.
Q: What is your favourite music of all time?
A: Classical.
Q: What is the one item that is always in your fridge?
A: Milk.
Q: If you could be president of SA for one day, what would be the top three things you would do for your day in office?
A: 1.Make education compulsory and free of charge; 2. Make sure that every citizen is able to enjoy a good life by paying a dole to unemployed persons; 3. Lastly, increase old age and disabled grants to R3,500 as this is the basic income in the country.
