Athletics:

At the Senior EP Athletics trials in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) on March 10 and 11, Iviwe Jekana came fourth in the Boys U18 Steeple Chase and third in the U18 1,500m, just missing the qualifying time by a second.

Tennis:

The Senior Girls 2nd Team lost to the DSG 4th team. They played well and had a lot of fun.

The 10 and under Thiart /Kingswood Tennis Tournament played on Friday and Saturday at Kingswood College.

Ane Coetzee came second in the Girls Invitation Team and Leo Murray and Inako Mbolekwas also came second in the Boys Invitation Section.

Archery:

At the Inter-Schools Archery Competitio­n in East London on Saturday March 11, Leana Potgieter got gold in the bullseye section, and Annika Horak got silver in the junior bullseye.

Squash:

Ane Coetzee came third in the first round of the EP Squash Trials. The second round takes place on May 8.

Frans Erasmus Netball and Rugby Festival (March 10-11) U13 Netball:

-vs Oatlands, PAHS won 6-3 -vs Cradock, PAHS lost 2-8 -vs DR Viljoen, PAHS won 6-2 -vs Hangklip, PAHS lost 4-5 -vs St Mary’s, PAHS won 10-1

U13 Rugby:

-vs Oatlands, PAHS lost 45-0 -vs St Mary’s, PAHS won 10-5 -vs Ntaba Maria, PAHS lost 5-0

-vs PJ Olivier, PAHS won 25-0

-vs Frans Conradie, PAHS drew 15-15

The PAHS player of the Tournament was Ibenati Kondile.

Cricket: Pineapple Cricket Tournament

The PAHS 1st Cricket team played in Kenton against the Owls team last Wednesday. PAHS lost the game by 3 wickets.

On Thursday, PAHS played against Cathcart. PAHS bowled them out for 138, but lost the game by 38 runs.

Despatch Sports Festival (Saturday March 11): 1st Netball:

PAHS won all three games vs Mclachan 15-10 vs Alexander 11-10 vs Westering 18-5

1st Boys Hockey:

-vs Despatch, PAHS drew 0-0

-vs Muir College, PAHS won 2-0. Goals scored by Lithe and Zubenati.

1st Girls Hockey:

-vs Framesby, PAHS drew 0-0 -vs DF Malherbe, PAHS lost 0-1 -vs Despatch, PAHS won U15 Rugby: Lost 0-19 vs Despatch High School

First Team Rugby: vs Andrew Rabe won 12-0
