I am a professional, Londontrained Cordon Bleu cook. My business is The Nautilus Kitchen in Port Alfred where I make fresh or frozen meals for local delivery.
Q: What is the most satisfying aspect of the work you do?
A: Being part of a community of people giving of their diverse talents for the enjoyment of others in this beautiful little gem in the Eastern Cape.
Q: What is the one tourist aspect you would recommend to a visitor to the Sunshine Coast?
A: The beautiful beaches and estuaries, the friendly people, natural beauty, peance and simplicity.
Q: If you have a bucket list, what is the top item you would like to do?
A: I would love to travel around Scotland, England and Zimbabwe to re-discover my roots.
Q: What is your motto in life?
A: ”The only person in the way is you.”
Q: What keeps you motivated?
A: Striving for excellence in my chosen field and being the best version of myself.
Q: With the high unemployment rate in our country, what do you think could be done to address the situation?
A: Establish and promote necessary major infrastructure projects with the involvement of suitable local and foreign investors. Also a focus on early childhood education development is necessary as this is key to success and upliftment in life and a passport to a bright future.
Q: Do you think enough is being done to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet? If not, what do you think could be done to change it?
A: No. We each need to play our own little part to address the precarious and delicate ecology of the environment and strive to create the kind of world we would like to leave for our children and grandchildren.
Q: What is your favourite music of all time?
John Denver, James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkel and so many more.
Q: What is the one item that is always in your fridge?
A: White wine.
Q: If you could be president of SA for one day, what would be the top three things you would do for your day in office?
A: Put policies in place to implement easy access to clean water for all; review the social grant policies and procedures with a view to alleviate poverty; propose stricter animal protection legislation and procedures.
