If you’re looking for something special and different, then look no further than Kong, the previous location of The Links Coastal Inn, which has been renovated and updated to bring the coffee shop to the community.

Kong is the place to be to meet up with friends, celebrate birthdays and of course enjoy delicious coffee.

Kong offers a delicious single-grain coffee from Brazil boasting a nutty, chocolaty and sweet creamy profile.

The wide selection of readymade food items available include fresh breakfast bagels, salads, bobotie pies, Indian curries, sandwiches and wraps, as well as scrumptious sponge cakes and pastries, and even soft-serve ice cream.

You will always find something to satisfy your tastebuds at Kong.

Kong uses fresh food every day and have also sourced a wide variety of preserves such as olive oils, chilli oils, salsa, olives, natural raw honey, teas, chutneys, organic chips, rusks, and more.

Not a coffee drinker? – No problem. There are many other beverages to choose from including hot chocolate, milkshakes, teas and smoothies.

If you’re looking for something a little stronger, you can enjoy a Berry Gin Smash or mojito cocktail, a glass of wine, or return to the coffee and pair your cuppa with your favourite spirits for a silverback – coffee with a kick.

Aside from the amazing food, preserves, coffee and other items, you will also find The Jungle Shop, Kong’s gift store, with an abundance of items for any occasion.

Step a little further and you will find their nursery.

More than just pretty flowers, they also have all the herbs you might require for your kitchen or garden.

These everyday useful potted herbs include sweet basil,

chives, coriander, curry plant, lemon balm, sweet marjoram, mint, hot and spicy oregano, curly moss parsley, rocket, and lemon thyme.

These make for great gifts, along with ceramic pots or baskets and cards, for one-stop shopping.

Upstairs you will find a sanctuary, a light open space,

which can be rented for small celebrations or workshops with catering.

A small collection of books are also available for sale, and patrons can enjoy their coffee while browsing for a good book.

Those needing to keep in touch or do some work on the laptop can use the free Wi-Fi for

the first 90 minutes. With an amazing view from upstairs overlooking Port Alfred, Kong is situated in the best possible place for customers to unwind, relax, and simply enjoy this gem.

The coffee shop is open every day from 9am-3pm. Make sure not to drive past and miss out on something amazing.
