Tuesday 17 May 2022 Temperate weather with an initially light northerly wind saw 25 entrants into the draw allotted in three 3balls and four 4-balls to contest a Stableford Alliance 2-scores-tocount format.
Mike Stadler, Don Thomson, Michael Collins and Peter Reed showed their mettle as they posted 87 points to run out comfortable winners. The only other covey in the eighties comprising Bob Shaw, Peter Longhurst, Henry Ellis and Jan Immelman were a distant but satisfied second with 81 points.
Andy Stembridge, Matt Chadwick and Heinz Czepluch with 68 (63+5) points had the pleasure of looking after the Hamer & Sukkel at prize giving.
Henry Ellis birdied the par three 8th hole but was surpassed by Donald McGarvie with his birdie on the par three 11th hole as he took the 2-club pool for his covey. Richard Farndell shot an excellent individual 68 nett, Henry Ellis with an individual 67 nett went even better but all were left in the wake of Michael Collins as he stormed home with a quite magnificent 65 nett.

RPAGC LADIES RESULTS: MAY 17 2022
Playing in very warm, berg wind conditions, 24 ladies took part in a 4 Ball Betterball Stableford competition sponsored by Bram’s @the 19th and also competed for the Ruth Kelly Cup.
Sandy Fryer and Jenny Adair walked away with the competition and the Ruth Kelly Cup with 46 points followed by second placed Maureen McGarvie and Heather van Harmelen with 44 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Lindy Krige on the 6th (sponsored by Kekkel en Kraai), Jenny Ralph on the 8th (sponsored by the ladies section), by Angela Trollip Smith on the 11th (sponsored by Top Carpets) and by Jenny Adair, nearest for 2 on the 13th (sponsored by The Firm).
The Longest Drive competition on Hole 3 was won by Trish Barwick in the 0-21 handicaps division and the winner in the 22-onwards division was Sonia Reynolds.
The only two-club of the afternoon was made by Jenny Ralph on the 8th hole.
The competition on May 31th will be a Bonus Bogey and the Atherstone Cup.
