Run with a view: last chance for early bird entries

- TOTT REPORTER

The Makhanda/ Grahamstown and Sunshine Coast Hospice offices have served the Lower Albany community for many years.

They wanted to create a fundraising event that would involve multiple generations so as to spark a spirit of volunteerism among young people, and to create awareness of what Hospice does for families.

“This is when we decided to combine our love for trail running and giving back to our community by organising a trail run in aid of our palliative care facility,” said organisers Shannen Kethro and Shannon Arnold.

In addition, over the course of the pandemic, opportunities to fund Hospice’s efforts had been limited by lockdown constraints.

Online entries cost R50 (3km), R100 (5km), R150 (12km), R210 (25km) and close at noon on Friday 5 August. Enter here: http://grandontrails.wixsite.com/website
