FIRE AT SETTLERS HOSPITAL

A fire swept through a section of Settlers Hospital, nestled below Cradock Heights and Somerset Heights, at about midday on Sunday.

Emergency services were soon on the scene and the fire was extinguished. Fortunately no injuries were reported. Smoke from the blaze was clearly visible from the surrounding suburban areas. Further details were unavailable at the time of submission of this column.
