Celebrating 12 years under De Witts’ leadership at Kenton Garage

-

Even loadshedding can’t stop Kenton Garage’s 24/7/365 service to locals and tourists.

It feels like yesterday when Ruleen and I bought the filling station. Kenton Garage was an ugly lady at the time and required a lot of TLC.

Here we are, 12 years later: the building is wearing new clothes and our offering serves the day-to-day needs of our local clientele, as well as tourists visiting the area.

The shop and supermarket are open 24/7, including Christmas and New Year: even loadshedding doesn’t stop us from operating, as our 100KVA generator powers up the business at all times.

Kenton Garage has become a true one-stop shop over time.

We have large capacity petrol and diesel holding tanks that guarantee supply; a supermarket and vehicle accessory shop that has been the saving grace of many a shopper when other outlets have closed; and we have DRY braai wood, ice, tyres, batteries for every make of car and offer general repairs.

Local folk know that it’s worthwhile getting a price on tyres before rushing off to the big city in search of your brand and size.

Ruleen and I have always been invested in Kenton’s people.

We have always made a point of shopping local, no matter the cost.

More important, we have invested in developing the business and the offering for the community we serve.

Now employing 49 staff across the businesses in Kenton-on-Sea,we rate among the area’s bigger employers.

Buying the garage 12 years ago was only the start of our journey and we are privileged to be part of such a caring community.

Our own community work stretches across Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce, as well as Coastal Kindness. There are many others we won’t name here.

The De Wit family invites you to fill up your car this Friday when we celebrate our 12th birthday in Kenton-on-Sea. Join in the fun of winning spot prizes and enjoy a celebratory free energy drink.
