ALEXANDRIA GOLF CLUB

Last Wednesday the 4-ball of Rendo Nell, Brad van der Riet, Dave Nicoll and Leon Naude turned in some good golf to win the alliance on 83 points.

Best on the day was Leon with 38 individual points, followed by Rendo on 34 points, on a countout from Dave, who also got a 2club on the 12th.

Leon won the handicap holes. On Saturday the summery, warm conditions produced some excellent golf.

Binky du Preez and Christo Bosman were unbeatable as a betterball pairing and they romped home on 49 points, with Trevor Hyson and Likhona Fina coming in with 46 points.

Rendo Nell and Likhona carded 74 and 77 respectively in playing some quality golf.

The alliance points tallies were exceptionally high, with Likhona, Trevor, Hilton Delport and Pete Andrew scoring a whopping 93 points!

Second were Binky, Christo, Dave and James Nicoll on 91 points.

Hilton had a 2-club on the 12th, while Trevor won the handicap holes.

On Saturday night the club held a Bring & Braai and Fancy Dress Party and those who attended had loads of fun.

This Saturday the club will host the H Venter Golf Day.

The format is a Scramble drive, betterball stableford competition.
