Call for Alex High alumni to step up
Alexandria High School has always been a state-of-theart school. Sadly, over the years it has been victim to vandalism and criminal activities that left the school in a bad state.
Looking at the pictures of the state the school is in, it’s hard to believe that it is a place where learners have to go to for education.
Powerful musician couple, Patrick and Shuling Lindoor, will be doing a couple of Christmas Roadshows all over the country in December.
After hearing about the dilemma of the school, they decided to host one of their shows in Alexandria. They are well known within this community and because of that they felt the need to do something for it. In this instance, they will be trying to assist the school through their show.
They will be having a Christmas show on 23 December 2022 and the school will partly benefit from the proceeds.
A few members of the community, former learners of the school who are now known as “Friends of Alex High School” decided to hop aboard this initiative to restore the school to its former glory. They are assisting SGB member Marvin Cannon, who has been tirelessly trying to run fundraising initiatives together with some teachers.
Friends of Alex High School would like to send a humble plea to all exlearners of the school to support this fundraiser by buying a ticket for the show.
