For the last presentati­on of November and of the year, Doug Bullis will talk about “A Day in the Life of…” at the University of the 3rd Age (U3A) meeting in the Don Powis Hall in Settlers Park Retirement Village, Port Alfred. It is about the realities of daily life for real people who lived in France across the millennium starting 1003 and ending 2021. Referring to illuminate­d manuscript­s, old woodcuts and copperplat­e engravings from books from those eras, the stories of people's lives are shown in images from the time the stories describe.
