The Lily Rose ushers in new era

Farm stall, coffee shop and entertainment venue all in one

-

Welcome to the newest addition to Kleinemonde’s business landscape, The Lily Rose. They opened their doors on Wednesday November 16 with a tremendous show of support from community members.

The new business is located in the former Lala Lapa Lodge which has, over the past two months, been refurbished.

With the new facelift comes an array of wonderful changes. While the business was previously known for being a local pub, it is now transformed into a farm stall, convenience store, coffee shop and entertainment venue. Locals are still able to come and enjoy a beverage of their choice, but there is now much more to see and enjoy.

The owners of the business, Clinton and Lize-Marie Millard, have worked tirelessly to bring this new venture to life and have done an amazing job. As you enter the facilities, you can see the bevy of delights that awaits, from convenience items to gourmet foods.

At The Lily Rose you will find everything from the usual necessities such as eggs, frozen foods, meat, charcoal, spices, juice, dairy products, cooking essentials and basic grocery items to jams, preserves, gifts, clothing and sweet treats.

The restaurant’s menu is described as “wholesome and filling”. There is something for everyone and favourite fare such as Sunday Lunch is only R100.

At the helm of the farm stall is Marisa Daneel, who is there to ensure the day-to-day running; hostess Bernice Louwrens to make your visit a memorable one; and Ruth-Anne Bekker in the kitchen preparing culinary delights.

Visit The Lily Rose for something special and if you wish to extend your stay, they have rooms available. The venue is available to hire, including for children’s parties.

“The venue was designed for family enjoyment. There is a deck that opens onto the grassy area where kids can play on the jungle gym and run freely while mom and dad enjoy a peaceful meal and some quality family downtime,” said Clinton Millard.

“Food is based on quality home cooking; something to take you back to the days of running around grandma’s kitchen”.

The Lily Rose is open from Tuesdays to Fridays (9am-5pm) and Saturdays and Sundays (9am-4pm). Call 072-3454752 for inquires or bookings.
