REMEMBERING:
At the conclusion of the recent Remembrance Day parade on Church Square, residents gathered around the World War One memorial at the rear of the Cathedral to view the wreaths laid by representatives of local schools, Makana Municipality, SA Police Service, ex-servicemen and other organisations. The wreaths were laid to the accompaniment of the sounds of the bagpipes played by Makhanda resident Chris Terry. Proceedings were witnessed by one of the biggest crowds to attend a local Remembrance Day parade.
