Suspected copper thief electrocuted
An inquest docket has been opened after a suspected copper cable thief was electrocuted while trying to steal from a power station in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said the man was found dead on Monday at about 9am by a municipal worker at a power station on Mitchell Street in Pretoria West.
“Police arrived to find copper cable cutters lying next to his body,” added Moloto.
Moloto could not confirm the time of death or the man’s age. – Caxton News Service
