Raids are for the benefit of citizens

Soldiers, police officers and home affairs officials have raided an informal settlement in Thembelihl­e, near Lenasia.

Residentas may feel treated unfairly, but these raids are for their own benefit. They will help the police to arrest offenders, illegal immigrants and others in possession of drugs and illegal weapons. They will help to prevent violent crime and keep residents safe in and around their homes. Isn’t about time that JMPD traces the bogus “doctors” who paste stickers on every Telkom and Eskom meter box, as well as on traffic signs, advertisin­g cures for enhanced manhood and bringing back lost lovers?
