Jockey Corne Orffer has some decent rides at Durbanville tomorrow, most of them aboard trainer Brett Crawford’s runners.

Orffer’s rides start in the opening event where Rebel’s Burst can overcome a wide draw to make all.

This Rebel King filly was a promising runner-up on debut behind Felicity Flyer.

Other possible winning rides are Gold Coast Captain in Race 3, Carolina Sky in Race 4 and Rock On Geordies in Race 5.

Gold Coast Captain showed he is improving rapidly with a good runner-up berth behind Cardinal Call this month. Banderos looks his main threat. Carolina Sky found betting support when unplaced on debut but like most of Crawford’s runners she should show nice improvement this time.

There was not much between Steel Magnolia, Carolina Sky and likely favourite Londalozi and all look to be capable of improving.

Rock On Geordies is well drawn and has experience on this course so could be the right one in Race 5, a Maiden Plate over 1600m.

But blinkers did improve Doctorow and there was only 1.50 lengths between him and Rock On Geordies last time out.
