Several bankers in the highlighted Soccer 6

- For all TAB’s soccer pools this week go to www.soccer6.co.za

This weekend’s featured Soccer 6 pool includes an important London derby between hosts West Ham United and rivals Arsenal.

Arsenal have beaten the Hammers the last five times these teams have met at West Ham and I do think Arsenal’s motivation to keep their fading title hopes alive may give them the edge in this encounter.

But that said West Ham did beat Arsenal in their opening game of the current campaign and I definitely suggest we add the draw to our selections for this match.

There are a number of potential bankers in this pool and if we want to keep our investment as low as possible (and perhaps take the bet several times), then I would look at the following outright selections:

* Bournemouth to beat hosts Aston Villa and doom them to life in the Championship next season before the current campaign is even done

* Crystal Palace to break their duck and win their first league game in 15 matches against visitors Norwich City

* Southampton, at home, to revert to winning ways by beating Newcastle who are one from bottom and involved in a desperate struggle to avoid relegation

* Chelsea to travel to Swansea City and win what could be a very competitive game.

In the final match in the pool, in which Watford play Everton, select all three result options. This looks a competitive match - Everton are only a point ahead of their rivals in the Premiership although they do have a game in hand.

* Suggested R36 permutation for the Soccer 6 Pool Saturday 9 April (S6 V3 P1): M1 =2, 3; M2 = 3; M3 = 1; M4 = 1; M5 = 3; M6 =1, 2, 3.

In the Soccer 10 pool, we will use the same selections for the common games and add Manchester City as an outright selection to beat West Bromwich Albion at the Etihad Stadium.

City looked in good shape in a drawn Champions League encounter with PSG midweek and should pack too much class for their rivals.

The rest of the games are in the Championship and you should go as wide as possible.

* Suggested R324 permutation for the Soccer 10 Pool Saturday 9 April (S10 V3) M1 =2, 3; M2 = 3; M3 = 1; M4 =1, 2, 3; M5 =1, 2, 3; M6 = 1; M7= 3; M8 =1, 2, 3; M9 =1, 2, 3; M10 = 1.

My outright selection in tomorrow’s Soccer 13 pool S13 V1 is in match nine (M9) in which highflying Middlesbrough should maximise home-ground advantage and beat Preston North End.

The hosts are currently in second spot in the Championship and are only a point behind leaders Burnley with a match in hand.
