Phakamani Mahlambi will become a better player under Gavin Hunt at Wits. He is showing signs of becoming a really good player. He must remain humble and committed to his work, then national teams will start knocking on his door. Gavin will guide him to reach his potential. Persival

I want to thank Leicester City’s owners for firing their coach, because once a coach and players start to have unresolved problems it becomes a disaster. We all know that he won the Premier League last season, which is good but the team shouldn’t be relegated because of his problems with the players. TK

Congratulations to Man Utd for winning the League Cup – on the other hand, if things don’t change, Chelsea are going to win the league. TK

I have only one question for everyone – who is gonna stop Sundowns this season? If all the other top four teams can’t, the league belongs to Sundowns. TK

I think Baroka FC and Highlands Park are in the PSL just to make up the numbers. As for relegation, Celtic and FS Stars must watch out – also Platinum Stars. Kevin

I think Sundowns are going win the PSL this season – they have the strongest squad in the league and with 4 games in hand are three points behind the leaders. Kevin Pitso Mosimane is really managing his players well. They will retain their title. Thando Molema

Congratulations to Mamelodi Sundowns reserves for finally winning the MultiChoice Diski Challenge. They’re emulating their senior team who are winning trophies. The young boys deserve the trophy after only just missing out last season. Nkokone

The Buccaneers are getting better with every game they play. It’s just sad that we’ve peaked at the wrong time, with only one trophy to fight for. Make us proud by winning games. SM Mandla

Games of football have good and bad results, so you must learn to accept unfavourable results, Paul Ramokonyane As a Bucs fan, bring it on Chiefs, asinavalo, we are going to get three points here, we have a tactician in Jonevret, we know Komphela’s plan B. Oupa Modise

The Tshwane trains are unstoppable, believe you me. J Dube, Alex

Another disappointment for the Pirates family. Changing coach after coach is not the solution, unless they hire a coach like Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti or Antonio Conte there will be no cure. Vitor da Rocha

For Leicester City’s bosses to sack Claudio Ranieri, I think it wasn’t right after the Italian surprised everyone last season by winning the league with 1 500/1 odds. Fan (Ed: I think it was even 5 000/1) The story of Claudio Ranieri is a lesson to all clubs. Never ever beg anyone to work for you after they have expressed their unwillingness to continue working. J Dube, Alex

Our Under-20s are going for the Afcon title in Zambia, Let’s support them to bring the trophy home, this is their chance to stake their claim. The best of luck Amajita.

Matome Phosa

I still believe the 4-3-3 formation the new Pirates coach will apply to the Pirates game will bring stability to their game plan and win them some games. James Cohen

The shenanigans in the Baroka camp will hand a free three points to Bidvest Wits tonight. Abel Paledi (Ed: you were proved right, Abel!) Dear editor, it is a pity most of the PSL clubs cannot cope against the national team assembled by Pitso Mosimane at Chloorkop. Really I wish Sundowns were Bafana Bafana. Clubs like my Kaizer Chiefs are struggling because they are family-run. Klass Maleho, Polokwane

I wish to congratulate Mamelodi Sundowns and Pitso on winning the Super Cup. The coach has found his winning combination and must keep the momentum going. Good luck. DS Moapesi

I’m a staunch Pirates supporter. But I congratulate Sundowns – really, they were brilliant and marvellous to watch. As a South African I’m very proud of them, as I see things it’s now a question of “Tata Zonke” – the sky is the limit and beyond. Frank Pine Pienaar
