National Under-17 women’s team skipper Kaylin Jordaan is confident the team will qualify for the Fifa Under-17 World Cup in Uruguay in December this year.

Bantwana meet Morocco in the second leg of the final of the qualifiers with a 5-1 lead from the first leg making them favourites to qualify, but as much as Jordaan is certain the team will go through, she admitted she is nervous ahead of the clash at Stade Boubker Aamar in Sale today.

“I see it as a challenge because they have home ground advantage but I believe the team will qualify to go to the World Cup,” said Jordaan.

“As a captain, however, I am very nervous as I don’t know what to expect from Morocco. I believe they have been studying us after the first leg, but also I am excited at the prospect of qualifying for the World Cup.”

The junior national women’s team skipper vowed to South Africans that they will do everything they can to qualify for the competition.

“I would like to say to the South Africans back home, we are going to qualify for the World Cup and we will do everything in our power to make sure we make them proud and make them believe we can do it.

“While we are positive, we must always expect the unexpected and I know it is going to be a tough game, but I also know the girls are prepared for anything that comes our way.

“The truth is, my heart is in Uruguay, but my mind is on the match on Saturday. I am looking forward to going to the World Cup,” added Jordaan.
