Both Motul Modified Production Car races went to Keegan Pottas in his EV Dynamics Honda.

This year’s Amtek Inland Championship started on a high note at the Midvaal circuit near Meyerton on Saturday, with some 200 competitors treating a large crowd to a full day of racing spectacles.

Top billing for the day belonged to the Bridgestone BMW Club Series brigade, with 32 cars facing the starter.

Julian Familiaris (Afrivalve BMW 328i Turbo) led from pole position to chequered flag the first time out, chased by Jorge Estrela (Jadecon BMW 328i Turbo), Paulo Loureiro (TuneTech BMW M3), Willie Erasmus (Big Boss Auto BMW M3 GTR) and Jan Eversteyn (Mammoet BMW E36 M3).

Familiaris stayed on his winning streak the next time out, finishing ahead of Loureiro, Eversteyn, Andreas Meier (BMW E46 M3) and Erasmus.

Stiaan Kriel (Pozidrive Polo) streaked to victory in the opening MotorMart VW Challenge race, followed over the line by Rory Atkinson (BHIT Polo) and Nic Clarke (Auto Suspension Polo).

After being bumped from behind, Jacob’s car stopped with a broken propshaft in race two, leaving Dalton to win ahead of JP Nortje (Nu Autocraft Corrado Rottary) and Jackson.

Jeffrey Kruger (Universal Health Lotus) took the opening Sabat Lotus Challenge race, ahead of Rob Gearing (Birkin) and Len Marshall (Birkin).

Kruger and Gearing took the same positions in race two, this time followed by Thomas Falkiner (Adaptive Resource Taylon).
