The manner in which Chief Justice Moseneke dealt with the #LifeEsidimeni arbitration deserves to be applauded. He was thorough, meticulous and very clear. He left no stone unturned and did not clutch at straws. @SirRhulz_5
Where will the money come from, esp that GP health state that their are budget doesn’t meet the demand. Patients already sleep in benches/ corridors because of capacity problems, shortage of cancer drugs, long waiting periods for surgeries, etc. #LifeEsidimeni @Rodins_thinker
Qedani #Mahlangu and the other officials who were involved in the movement of the mental health patients from #LifeEsidimeni need to be criminally charged for their recklessness and total lack of regards for the health and life of these patients. @lungilemvana
Happy about the increase in payment to claimants in #LifeEsidimeni tragedy. No amount can compensate. Figure could have gone to R1.5 million per person. Angry that the taxpayer has to once again fork out for incompetent, irresponsible leadership @JoannaFlanderst
#LifeEsidimeni is a sensitive topic and that can’t be argued. My condolences to the affected families. However, I feel the R1.2m being compensated to all affected is just too much considering the number of times we hear the words lack of funding or lack of resources in government departments. @TLX_ZA
It’s just sad that some of these patients were neglected by families who will now cash in on their death. #LifeEsidimeni @dladla_miss
