Israel closes off West Bank, Gaza

– An Israeli army spokesperson announced yesterday that a 10-day closure would be imposed on the Israeli-occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, starting today, ahead of the Jewish holiday of Passover. The blockade was based on an evaluation of the security situation, a military spokesperson said.
