Greeff to upstage the boys

- Viv Greybe

Champion trainer Alan Greeff looks to have a winning hand in both feature events at Fairview tomorrow – the first of which could see his two fillies Queen Forever and What A Player upstage the boys in the East Cape Guineas (Listed) over 1600m.

Three-time winner Queen Forever (Greg Cheyne), who will lead the stable’s attack, was a clear-cut winner in her penultimate outing over 1400m at Fairview.

She will receive 2.5kg from her seven male rivals in the line-up, but has most to fear in her stablemate What A Player (Callan Murray) who has yet to be unplaced in her seven starts.

However, both will have to watch out for Justin Snaithtrained two-time winner Sabbatical (Grant van Niekerk). Best of the others are Kimberley Star, Sacred Oration and Paper Town.

Greeff-trained Juan Two Three (Cheyne) looks the part in the supporting feature, the East Cape Sprint Cup (Listed) over 1200m. This eight-time winner will be out to recover losses after carrying 62kg last time when attempting a hat-trick and beaten 0.5-lengths by Cape Rebel (55kg) over 1200m in the East Cape Poly Challenge at Fairview.

He should prove too good this time when meeting his opposition at weight for age terms nad could be followed home by Brutal Force, Omega Onslaught, Flight Captain and Le Grand Rouge.
