FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH
The ninth edition of the Nissan Easter Festival at Kyalami park will see competitors from Zimbabwe, Botswana, Swaziland, Zambia and Namibia challenging South Africans in a whole host of disciplines including showing, equitation, gymkhana, dressage and show jumping.
Show director Heather Mpofu says there’s something for everyone – even if you don’t know your horse sport. The show will culminate in the SA Outdoor Grand Prix set at 2pm on Easter Monday, with 3 000 fans expected to pack the stands and witness showjumpers tackle the 1.50m high obstacles against the clock.
