Aesthetic treatments are for all

-

Dr Portia Gumede furthered her studies in aesthetic medicine through the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine to become the first black South African accredited trainer for Galderma.

This has put Gumede on the map to become a global leader in the aesthetic medicine industry. Her love for dermatology and skincare led her to launch an elite, aesthetic lifestyle centre, which focuses on world-class skincare treatments and products that are custom-made for clients.

The lifestyle centre, which is headquartered at Hyde Park Corner in Johannesburg and opened this week, has a range of treatments including skin analysis, chemical peels, hair restoration, non-surgical facelifts using threads and skin rejuvenation.

The centre is dedicated to helping clients become knowledgeable about how to treat their skin and promote the idea that skincare is just as important for men as for women.

Gumede says it’s time people demystified the misconceptions about aesthetic treatments.

“Treatments are available to men and women of all races. They will not alter your appearance and are very affordable,” she says.
